| | New cards, Bilt Cash, mortgages ... oh my! | | by Katie Genter, Lead writer | | | After a swirl of rumors got us excited last week, Bilt has now officially announced the details of its three new credit cards. There is so much here to unpack!
The new cards offer both Bilt Points and 4% back in Bilt Cash (a totally new benefit) on everyday purchases. Plus, all three cards let you earn points on rent and mortgage payments.
The Bilt Blue Card doesn't offer many extras, but it has no annual fee. The $95-annual-fee Bilt Obsidian Card offers Bilt Travel portal hotel credits worth up to $100 per calendar year, plus bonus points and 4% back in Bilt Cash on travel and your choice of dining or grocery purchases.
And the $495-annual-fee Bilt Palladium Card offers a Priority Pass lounge membership, 2 points per dollar spent and 4% back in Bilt Cash on everyday purchases, Bilt Travel portal hotel credits worth up to $400 per calendar year, and $200 in Bilt Cash each year.
Current cardholders have until Jan. 30 to opt in to one of these cards or be transitioned to a different Wells Fargo card. If you opt in to one of these new cards by that time, you'll keep the same card number and even earn the welcome offer.
That's right: For the first time, you can earn a welcome offer through Bilt!
And, in my opinion, the Bilt Palladium Card is especially appealing: Earn 50,000 points and Gold elite status after $4,000 in nonhousing spending in the first three months, plus $300 in Bilt Cash when you apply and get approved. (Check out the details on the other offers here.)
