Let's turn those miles into memories by Katie Genter, Lead writer Whether you recently added a card to your wallet that earns Capital One miles — like the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card or Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card — or you've held one for many years (like me), you likely know that these miles are both valuable and easy to use. They're a big part of my life as a digital nomad, but for you, they may be just what you need to finally book that dream trip. You can redeem Capital One miles at a fixed rate to offset recent travel purchases. However, you'll usually get more value when you utilize the Capital One transfer partners. For example, the Etihad Guest loyalty program can be a good way to book short flights operated by American Airlines. And Air France-KLM Flying Blue can be particularly useful for its monthly Promo Rewards. Meanwhile, Air Canada Aeroplan offers good-value awards on Star Alliance airlines. Plus, Wyndham Rewards' three-tier award chart can offer good value for some stays. And if you want to go on a Virgin Voyages cruise or fly transatlantic to London, Virgin Red is a great option. After all, you can link Virgin Red with Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and redeem for flights.
