| | It's getting easier to redeem your points | | by Augusta Stone, Credit cards writer | | | In my view, World of Hyatt is easily the most award-friendly hotel program. With a published award chart, reasonable redemption rates and easy-to-earn points, there's a lot to love here.
The program just got even sweeter.
That's because Hyatt has made it easier to check for award availability, rolling out a handy points calendar that you can check to book a stay.
It's an exceptional feature. Once you search for a property and select "Use Points," you'll see a "Points Calendar" button appear below the location's contact information.
From there, you can scan month by month to see when rooms are available and how many points you'll need to redeem.
This tool saves time and makes searching for award availability much quicker. This is especially true if you want to stay at a popular Hyatt hotel like the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa, Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort, Impression Moxche by Secrets or Miraval Austin.
You may have a lot of points that can be used at one of these incredible Hyatt properties, especially if you've recently collected a welcome bonus on the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve® or Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business℠. You can transfer your Chase points to World of Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio.
Depending on the hotel category and whether the night is off-peak, standard or peak, you could book a room for anywhere from 3,500 to 45,000 points per night. Just remember, all-inclusive resorts and Miraval resorts are priced differently.
