Happy Friday! This week we’ve got a rare interview with the editor of the UK’s New Statesman, a current affairs magazine that has historically had the ear of the country’s Labour government. The brand owes millions to its proprietor, GlobalData CEO Mike Danson—but a year into the new editor’s tenure, both circulation and hype are building. |
Going away from print altogether, we’ve got a story about Lookout Local, Ken Doctor’s bid to build a model for local news in the digital era. Doctor told AMO he’s on track for 10,000 paying members by the end of the year: let’s get into it. |
